Well this is weird as hell. The phrase 'Pepperoni Hug Spot' has been popping up in my feed over the last couple of days as people discover and post about a bizarre commercial for a fake pizza chain, apparently completely created by AI.
Twitter user Pizza Later posted the very strange Pepperoni Hug Spot :30 TV ad and says all elements were generated by AI. He goes on to give a bit more detail on the process in the thread...script by GPT-4, images by Midjourney, video clips by Runway Gen-2, voiceover by Eleven Labs, music by Soundraw. At first glance, it's a pretty perfect Pizza Hut commercial ripoff. When you look a little closer, there's some spooky, surreal, not-quite-human stuff going on.
