Rockett shared the news after a routine checkup at the Monroe Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health.
"I love being negative," he wrote. "Time to do a tour!!!"
In July, while Poison is on the road Rockett will celebrate six years of being in remission.
The drummer was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2015 after visiting his doctor complaining of a sore throat that wouldn't go away. His doctor found a tumor at the base of his tongue and Rockett quickly began treatment.
But within a few months, the cancer spread to Rockett's lymph nodes. At that point, he enrolled in a clinical trial at UCSD Moore's Cancer Center to try a new drug called pembrolizumab (Keytruda).
The tumor shrunk over 90 percent in two months. By the following summer (2016), the cancer was gone.
