A Poem...by Hines

As a kid from the Ozarks wandering around Los Angeles, I see a lot of interesting things. However, sometimes it's the most simple things that bring me joy. Shortly after this photo was taken, I scribbled out some inspired words onto a bar napkin that had been acting as a coaster from my old fashioned. Here's what I was inspired to write...

A poem...

I walked down the street,

and what should appear...

A classic Ford Ranchero,

with a truck bed in its rear.

On the hood, what I found,

a sign of someone, unwound.

It was a red cup that was half full of beer.

A bonus haiku…

Oh Ford Ranchero,

With red cup upon your hood,

Where is the party?
