Boston Officer On Leave After Accusing Strippers Of Stealing His Gun

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston Police officer is on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation after a bad night in Rhode Island.

The officer, whose name and rank have not been released, alleges that his gun was stolen by a pair of strippers with whom he attended a Providence club. Those two women, Neish Rivera and Melissa Dacier, have been arrested on bail warrants.

The officer took a room at the Hampton Inn in Pawtucket over the weekend, where he met with Rivera. He and Rivera, a stripper calling herself "Natalia," had met on Instagram.

Rivera and the officer allegedly then met up with Dacier, another dancer, and went to Cadillac Lounge, a Providence strip club.

The officer alleges his weapon was stolen from his car's locked glove box after he sent one of the women to his car for a charger.

The gun has been recovered. Boston Police won't comment further on the status of the officer.

"We hold our police officers to a high standard, and this is unacceptable," Boston Mayor Marty Walsh told WBZ NewsRadio's Karyn Regal. "It's something that I've spoke to the Commissioner several times today about already."
